I’m an HCPC registered Integrative Arts Psychotherapist, qualified to Masters and Post Graduate Certificate level with the Institute in Arts Therapy and Education.
I work with adults experiencing trauma, psychosis, depression, anxiety, neurodiversity, identity issues and bereavement. Before setting up my private practice, I worked in in-patient and outpatient NHS settings in East London and a bereavement service, with clients of varying sexual orientations, ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds.
I use a range of psychological theories, including psychodynamic and person-centred approaches, attachment theory, Gestalt and transactional analysis, to provide an integrative and tailored approach to meet my client’s needs. with a focus on the therapeutic relationship being key to change.
I am particularly interested in working with trauma informed perspectives and current research working somatically with the nervous system and neurodiversity.
Alongside my private practice, I work with clients with complex trauma at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust.
I’m also a textile artist and printmaker with 15 years of experience in arts education. I’m passionate about making the arts accessible and tapping into the unique ways we make sense of the world. I use a range of art making processes including visual arts, printmaking, poetry, sand tray, animation, sculpture, body and movement and music.
As an art therapist, I adhere to the UK Council fo Psychotherapy (UKCP) and Health & care professions council (HCPC) Code of Ethics
