As textile artist and printmaker with 15 years of experience in arts education. I am passionate about making the arts accessible and tapping into our unique ways of making sense of the world. I use a range of art making processes but not limited to - visual arts, printmaking, poetry, sand tray, animation, sculpture, body and movement, music
My training and Integrative approach incorporate various psychological theories which allows me to tailor my approach to each individuals needs with a focus on the therapeutic relationship being key to change. The theories I am influenced by are Pyschodynamic and person-centred approaches, Attachment theory, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis. I am particularly interested in working with Trauma informed perspectives and current research working somatically with the nervous system and neurodiversity.
I have three years of experience working with adults, w across various areas, such as trauma, psychosis, depression, anxiety, neurodiversity, identity issues, and bereavement. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient setting within East London Trust (ELFT) and a Bereavement service with adults of varying sexual orientations, ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds.
I have a small private practice and an honorary contract working with complex trauma at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust.
